Gratuities (Tips)
Tipping is not essential in the UK, but is a recognition of good service. Guests wishing to leave staff gratuities are requested to do so at reception; this central fund is then divided amongst all the hotel team.
As a general guideline, if a gratuity is not included in a bill then a 10% tip is taken as a sign of good service in a restaurant.
